Are you looking for a pet ? Adoption fees waived or reduced at shelters

Shelters in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Grand Prairie need people willing to adopt or foster.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Many pets in North Texas are waiting for their “furever” homes as shelters are at or near capacity. Some animal shelters waive adoption fees or reduce fees.

North Texas Humanitarian Society

HSNT says they are at full capacity at all adoption centers.

HSNT has a special until Sunday June 13 where all adult dogs over 35 pounds are free to adopt at any HSNT adoption center.

Dallas Animal Services

Pets are free to adopt at Dallas Animal Services.

DAS now offers in-person adoptions at the main shelter at 1818 North Westmoreland Road daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Grand Prairie Animal Services

Adoption fees are waived at Grand Prairie Animal Services until June 30, which means all adoptions are free. Walk-ins are welcome.

Texas SPCA – Dallas

The SPCA is full and may need help. The adoption fee for dogs and cats over 6 months old is $ 25 at the Dallas and Ellis locations. Adoptions are by appointment.

“Our shelters are FULL and we need new foster families, especially for the dogs!” The SPCA tweeted.

Animal Care and Control in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Animal Care & Control was recently at full capacity, as reported by WFAA.

Dogs are $ 49 for adoption and cats $ 25 for adoption.
