Until January 14: Recycle a tree in Lewisville

Christmas trees can be recycled on Lewisville Lake Park soccer fields until January 14. Trees should be stripped of ornaments and other decorations before they are put down. Until January 1: Adopt a pet

Lewisville Animal Services is running a special adoption offer for vacations until January 1st. Adoption fees have been reduced to $ 20 for pets. The Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is located at 995 E. Valley Ridge. The adoption fee includes a microchip, all basic vaccines, sterilization, heartworm treatment, and optional 30-day free pet insurance. Residents can view the animals for adoption at lewisvillepets.com/adopt.

26 Dec-Jan 3 Recycle a tree in Highland Village

Christmas trees can be recycled at Brazos Park in Highland Village all day from December 26 to January 31. 3. Trees must be stripped of their decorations before being recycled.

December 30: Celebrate the end of the year

Families with children of all ages are invited to the Lewisville Public Library’s end of the year party, which includes a countdown and a noon balloon drop in the Bennett Children’s Wing. January 15: Get help to adopt a healthy lifestyle

January 17: Honor to Martin Luther King Jr.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day Commemoration Committee will host this 29th annual celebration in honor of King. The theme is “The Divided World: United Tomorrow”.
