Cross Critters and Langdale Kia Welcome Pet Adoption | Local News

VALDOSTA – Cross Critters Resort and Rescue is once again teaming up with Langdale Kia of Valdosta to help a litter of dogs find forever homes.

Danielle Cross, owner and operator of Cross Critters, previously worked with the dealership in November last year after Jordon Smith, Kia’s chief financial officer, contacted her to organize a pet adoption day .

“Jordan with Kia contacted me last year and asked us to do an event around Thanksgiving, which we did and it was a big hit, so they invited us again,” he said. she declared.

“The first event was great. Everything went wonderfully and 10 dogs found their forever home. We expect even more this time.

For Kia’s part, Smith said the dealership had wanted to hold community events for a long time and he saw an opportunity when Cross Critters held a separate adoption campaign.

“She (Cross) was doing another one, and I saw it on Facebook. She, within two minutes, replied to my Facebook message, and then we went back and forth and had it up and running within two weeks. It was pretty cool because it was something my GM wanted me to look into,” he said.

“We really like adoption events and we try to help local businesses. We are always trying to monitor and help another company. We want to advocate and be more involved in the community.

Cross Critters will be at Langdale Kia from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, and Langdale Kia will cover costs and include a month’s worth of dog food with each adoption. Families and individuals will have to pay $30 for the microchip.
