Here’s how you can help spcaLA during their pet adoption and fundraising week in April – Daily Breeze

If you want to help pets get adopted, this is your chance.

The Los Angeles chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals partnered with a pet-related job recruiting company for a week-long event to raise funds and help to find permanent families of dogs and other pets.

The nonprofit for animal rights announced this week its partnership with PackHire.

As part of the April pet adoption and fundraising week of spcaLA, the non-profit organization and PackHire – a job search engine and recruiting service specifically for pet industry – host a joint live Instagram event on Monday April 19-26. and the two-week fundraising special will also run Monday through May 2.

“PackHire has aligned business with philanthropy to support a cause that fits naturally,” spcaLA President Madeline Bernstein said in a statement. “They have our gratitude for their donation, which helps support our programs and services. “

People can drop off gifts – unopened pet food, toys, blankets, litter, beds, and treats – at the spcaLA South Bay Adoption Center, 12910 Yukon Ave., in Hawthorne. Those interested in adopting a pet can view the animals and start the process online: spcaLA.com.

The goal is to house at least five pets and raise $ 3,000 during the event. The money will go towards animal medical expenses, behavioral training, vaccinations, sterilization and the purchase of much-needed pet food and supplies.

“Showing kindness and compassion to animals is one of the hallmarks of a healthy and vibrant community,” PackHire founder Seda Bolulu said in a statement. “And spcaLA has been a valued community partner and advocate in this space for over 140 years.

“This is why,” added Bolulu, “we have chosen to team up with this incredible organization.”
