Marshall’s Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram celebrated “two days” this year by working with the Marshall Pet Adoption Center to offer $22 adoptions on Tuesday.

The event, called the Mardi Paws clear the shelter event, was an adoption event with the goal of weeding out all adoptable pets from the Marshall Pet Adoption Center.

Fifteen local families brought home a new pet at the adoption event.

Stormy Nickerson, with Patterson, said the company has worked with MPAC for years, working to facilitate adoptions to loving families in the Marshall and Harrison County community.

“There are so many animals that deserve a wonderful, loving forever home,” Nickerson said, “Patterson strives to make that as easy as he can.”

Shelly Godwin, director of the shelter, said adoptions typically cost around $60 per cat and $70 per dog at the shelter, which would cover the cost of animal shots and include a coupon for spaying and neutering the animal. ‘animal.

Patterson will cover the remaining costs for each adoption made on Tuesday, to allow community members a discounted rate to bring home their next forever friend.

“Patterson is focused on helping children, education and animals, as these are groups that often cannot speak for themselves,” Nickerson said.

She said the company has partnered with MPAC for years, facilitating a wide range of adoption events while also funding various projects carried out by Marshall Friends of Animals.
